PLOT:
In a post-apocalyptic world, a savage war between man and vampire raged for centuries. A warrior priest (Paul Bettany) receives word of fresh attacks but now it`s personal, his niece has been kidnapped by a new hive of merciless vampires. To save her, he must break his vow of peace and hunt down the hive before it's too late. Based on the acclaimed graphic novel and packed with bloodthirsty action, this full throttle crusade takes you on the hunt for a deadly new breed of killer.
REVIEW:
I want to give this a fair Review and take everything into concideration.
The idea of this movie was great and plot its self wasnt to bad. I enjoyed the first 5 minutes of the opening to the movie but from there it went down hill.
The acting wasnt great and i thought Cam Gigandet (Never Back Down, Pandorum, The Roommat) was wasted in this film he never really did anything interesting and kind of just stood in the back ground and watched.
Paul Bettany (A knights tale, Legion) played another bland character very simmilar to his role in legion didnt really show any good acting or emotion in any of his scenes.
unfortunatly the music by Christopher Young (Hellraiser, A Nightmare on elm street 2, Drag me to hell) wasnt up to scrath either didnt really give much atmosphere to what was going on on the screen which is a shame he usually brings out the atmosphere in all the movies hes worked on.
The actuall movie felt like it was cut to shreds the violence and death scenes were very badly done alot of the time you dont actually see the deaths or even the fight scenes.
The effects for the movie were not to bad tho it seemed like they spent most of there $60 million on the CGI effects rather than making the film any good.
Over all the movie could have been so much better if the director knew what he was doing and the actors actually did somthing.

The movie had a nice stylish look about it but thats as far as it went it was very predictable and turned into a bad scifi action horror not the kind of vampire film everyone was hoping for.
